Terms of Use

The rules for using Productive, in plain language. By using the app, you agree to them.

Effective October 15, 2026

The most important thing to know: Productive deletes each week's tasks at Saturday midnight, on purpose. Don't use it to keep anything you need to hold on to.

1Agreement

These Terms are an agreement between you and Mustafa Ali, the maker of Productive ("we", "us"). By opening or using Productive, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2The service

Productive is a weekly task planner that runs in your web browser. It's currently free. There's no account to create. It saves your tasks in your browser so there's nothing to set up. We may add, change or remove features, or pause or stop the service, at any time.

If paid plans are offered in the future, their price, billing, free-trial and cancellation terms will be shown clearly before you pay, and you'll need to accept them separately.

3Your data and the weekly reset

4Acceptable use

Please don't:

5Feedback

Ideas and feedback are always welcome through the contact form. If you send a suggestion, you agree it can be used to improve Productive without any obligation or payment to you. Please don't send anything confidential.

6Ownership

The Productive name, logo, design and code belong to Mustafa Ali. Using the app doesn't give you any ownership of it. The fact that the source code can be viewed on GitHub doesn't grant permission to copy, redistribute or sell it, unless a separate license file in the repository says otherwise.

7Third-party services

Productive relies on GitHub Pages (hosting), Google Fonts (typefaces), and optionally Google Maps (when you tap a location) and your email provider (when you contact me). Those services have their own terms, and we're not responsible for them. See the Privacy Policy for details.

8No warranty

Productive is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. That includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise the app will always be available, error-free, or that your data will never be lost.

9Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. This includes lost data, missed deadlines or appointments, and lost profits arising from your use of, or inability to use, Productive. While the app is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to zero dollars (CAD $0). Some places don't allow certain limits on liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. Important changes will be pointed out in the app. If you keep using Productive after a change, that means you accept the updated Terms.

11Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Nova Scotia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
